Why The Luna Well Exists
The Luna Well was created from a life spent carrying a great deal.
I have spent much of my life being the one who holds. The one who protects. The one who steps in, figures it out, and keeps going no matter how heavy life becomes. I have been that person in my work, in motherhood, in my community, and in the lives of people who needed someone safe to land with. I have fought many battles in this life, and for too long, the one I lost was myself.
My name is Heather Cameron, and I am the esthetician and founder of The Luna Well.
For more than twenty years, my professional career has been rooted in Human Resources, supporting people through challenge, change, and the weight that work and life can place on them. At one point, I took a break in that career path to pursue my education in Social Work and work in community outreach, while continuing the kind of service that has always been part of who I am. Over the years, that work has extended through my own initiatives across New York, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Georgia, and South Carolina.
Caring for people has never only been a job to me. It has been the way I move through the world. I have often been what people call a safe place. Strong when strength was needed, soft when softness was needed, and present when someone simply needed to know they were not alone. But like so many women, I know what it means to keep pouring out until there is very little left for yourself.
The Luna Well was born from that truth. It was created from the understanding that women carry extraordinary weight. We nurture, build, protect, lead, love, and keep going, often long past the point of exhaustion. In the middle of all of that, it becomes easy to lose yourself. Easy to forget that you, too, need care. That you need a place to rest, to be restored, and to return to yourself.
I have also spent much of my life deeply connected to the healing power of the earth. To trees, grounding, cleansing energy, and the quiet wisdom found in plants, clays, and botanicals. There is a reason these elements have endured through time. They are steady, trusted allies. They remind us that healing does not always have to be harsh. Sometimes it is gentle. Sometimes it is natural. Sometimes it begins by being supported by what was placed here to help us.
That is the spirit of The Luna Well.nThis is a space created for women to exhale. To feel safe. To be cared for with intention. Every facial, treatment, and service is designed not only to support the skin, but to honor the woman within it. Through restorative touch, botanical ingredients, custom clay masks, and a calming environment, my hope is to create an experience that feels grounding, nurturing, and real.
The Luna Well exists because I know what it is to carry too much for too long. I also know how powerful it is when a woman is finally given space to receive.
My hope is that when you walk through this door, you feel that right away.
Women carry extraordinary weight. We bring life into this world, and through love, we help carry it home again. There is pressure and resistance in that journey, but also profound power. Much of what the world calls power is temporary. The power women carry is deeper. It is love, and it echoes the universe itself.
