How Often Should You Get a Facial?

Facial frequency is personal, but for most clients, a facial every four to six weeks is the rhythm I recommend.

At The Luna Well, I look at facials as both skin support and restoration. A monthly facial gives your skin consistent care while also giving you a quiet space to pause, reset, and be cared for.

Your skin changes with stress, hormones, weather, sleep, products, lifestyle, and the seasons. Seeing your skin regularly allows me to understand what it needs over time and adjust each facial with more intention.

Why Monthly Facials Are Recommended

A facial every four to six weeks supports the natural rhythm of the skin and helps keep your skin from only receiving care when something feels wrong.

Monthly facials can help support:

Congestion and buildup
Dryness or dehydration
Dullness or uneven tone
Texture changes
Sensitivity and barrier support
Relaxation and nervous system reset
A more consistent skincare routine

When facials are part of your regular care, each treatment builds on the last. Instead of starting over every time, we can respond to your skin with more understanding and help it stay more balanced between visits.

Monthly Care Helps Me Learn Your Skin

Your skin is not the same every month.

Stress, hormones, weather, medications, sleep, water intake, and daily life can all affect how your skin looks and feels. When you come in regularly, I can better recognize patterns and make thoughtful adjustments to your treatment.

Some months your skin may need more hydration. Some months it may need calming. Other times, it may benefit from exfoliation, extractions, massage, circulation support, or a glow-focused treatment.

That consistency allows your facial to become more personal over time.

Monthly Facials Are Also About Restoration

A facial is not only about the skin you see in the mirror.

For many women, a monthly facial becomes one of the only moments where they are not responsible for everyone and everything else. It becomes a scheduled pause. A quiet hour. A reset for the skin, the body, and the nervous system.

That kind of consistency matters too.

At The Luna Well, your facial is designed to feel calm, grounding, and restorative. The goal is for you to leave feeling cared for, not rushed through a service.

Seasonal Facials Are Still Helpful

If monthly facials are not realistic right away, seasonal facials are still valuable.

Seasonal facials can help support your skin through changes in weather, routine, and lifestyle. Many people notice their skin behaves differently in the summer than it does in the winter.

Humidity, sun exposure, cooler air, indoor heat, and changes in hydration can all affect the skin.

A seasonal facial can help refresh the skin, restore hydration, remove buildup, and give you a moment to reset as your skin’s needs change.

Come Sooner When Your Skin Feels Off

Even with a monthly rhythm, there may be times when your skin needs extra attention.

You may notice more congestion, dryness, dullness, irritation, uneven texture, or sensitivity. You may feel like your products are not working the same way. You may also feel run down, overstimulated, or in need of quiet.

That is a valid time to book a facial.

At The Luna Well, your facial is customized around what your skin needs that day. Your skin does not need to be “bad enough” to deserve care.

Home Care Supports Your Results

Monthly facials work best when they are supported by simple home care.

That does not mean your routine has to be complicated. Most people benefit from a consistent routine that includes cleansing, moisturizing, daily SPF, and products chosen for their actual skin needs.

During your facial, I can help you understand what your skin may need more of, what may be too much, and what is worth keeping simple.

The goal is not to overwhelm you with products. The goal is to help your skin feel supported between visits.

The Best Schedule Is One You Can Maintain

The ideal rhythm for most clients is every four to six weeks, but your schedule should still feel realistic.

For some clients, monthly facials become part of their regular wellness routine. For others, starting every other month or seasonally may be the right first step.

There is no shame in starting where you are. The most important thing is creating a rhythm of care that supports your skin and your life.

Start With One Facial, Then Build Your Rhythm

If you are unsure where to begin, start with one facial.

During your visit, we can talk through your skin, your goals, your current routine, and what kind of schedule makes sense for you. From there, I can recommend a facial rhythm that supports both your skin and your real life.

At The Luna Well, monthly facials are recommended for consistent skin support, but every visit is personal, thoughtful, and tailored to what your skin needs that day.
